Description
Forstner bits are used in woodworking in preference to drill bits and flat bits for when a clean and precise hole is required
Ideal for when a specific depth of mortise is needed
The design of the bit results in minimal tear out, for a much neater cut than a spade bit or hole saw
Bore very precise flat bottom holes in wood
Manufactured from heat treated steel for strength and durability
Can cut on the edge to a block of wood and can also cut overlapping holes
The bit has a centre point which gives a starter point and guides it during the cut, allowing for accurate results each time
3/8" shank that fit almost most lathes / presses and drills (whether cordless, electric or air)
Allows holes to be drilled without passing all the way through the material when a clean and precise bottom to a hole is required
Can also be used with a drill press to cut angled holes
