Description
This polished aluminium garage plaque celebrates the British engineering success story that is Lodge spark plugs.

Sir Oliver Joseph Lodge invented electric spark ignition for the internal combustion engine, and two of his sons, Alec and Francis Brodie, set up Lodge Brothers to develop and sell the spark plug technology.

This striking garage plaque is finished in black with bare aluminium lettering and details.

The name "Lodge" is across the bottom with the slogan "The Best Plug In The World" in the upper left.

A spark plug features in the centre of the sign, and "with Sintox Insulation" appears on the right.

Sintox was a new type of insulation made from aluminium oxide, which represented a big leap forward in spark plug technology at the time.

Lodge might not be quite the same household name as some other famous automotive brands, but it has a fascinating story and is truly worth celebrating.

Fans of engine technology will love this sign, and it will be a very respected addition to any garage or workshop.

Pre-drilled holes make it a breeze to mount on a wall of your choice.
